On the Beach Guesthouse and Suites in Jeffreys Bay is located on the sun-drenched shores of the beautiful Eastern Cape. We offer a relaxed and refined atmosphere in which to enjoy the spectacular setting right on the beach.

Jeffreys Bay is known as Surfers’ Paradise, and guests of On the Beach Guesthouse Jeffreys Bay On The Beach can enjoy a full range of water sports within close proximity of the guesthouse. On the Beach Guesthouse Jeffreys Bay On the Beach Guesthouse is a 1-hour drive from Port Elizabeth Airport. Private car parking is available.

An a la carte breakfast is provided each morning. There are also many dining and drinking spots within a few minutes’ drive of the guesthouse.

Our Rooms

The accommodation features a Penthouse Room, 3 Deluxe Rooms, 2 Classic Beach Rooms, 2 Executive Studio Rooms, a Standard Room and 2 Two-bedroom Suites. Most units have direct beach access and breath-taking beach and ocean views. Each bedroom can accommodate 2 guests and has a full en-suite bathroom, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a TV with DStv.

Rooms are on the ground floor, have full en-suite bathrooms, with beautiful ocean and beach views.

The two self-catering Bedroom Suites are located on the ground or first floor, with lovely ocean and beach views with sliding doors leading balcony/patio.

Beachfront Bliss This beautifully decorated Guesthouse delivers exactly what its name promises – accommodation literally steps from the Indian Ocean. My stay at this boutique property confirmed why it maintains such strong ratings across booking platforms. The classic design and elegant African-inspired decor create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere, and waking up to the sound of waves breaking on the beach never got old. The upstairs lounge offers 180-degree ocean views where you can not just treat yourself to a theatre of surfers catching a break, but even get to spot dolphins swimming  - if you are lucky!. The property strikes a nice balance between boutique luxury and beachside casualness, making it suitable for both leisure travelers and those mixing business with pleasure. The location puts you right on Jeffreys Bay's famous surf coastline while remaining in a peaceful area away from the main tourist hustle. LOCATION: The guesthouse sits about 1.5 km north of the famous Supertubes surfing beach in a very quiet beachfront area. The positioning is absolutely perfect for what I wanted – direct beach access without the crowds. It's positioned just 50 minutes from Port Elizabeth International Airport, making transfers straightforward. While the tranquil setting is wonderful, you'll definitely need a car to reach restaurants and shops beyond the immediate vicinity. There's a small shopping center across the road with necessities, but for proper dining options and exploring Jeffreys Bay's attractions, having your own transport is essential. The trade-off between serenity and convenience is worth it if you're seeking a proper beach retreat. DINE + DRINK: The a la carte breakfast served in the upstairs lounge with those panoramic ocean views was excellent. The hot items are ordered from a menu while cold items come from a compact buffet – a good system that ensures freshness. The honesty bar operates all day, allowing you to help yourself to drinks and settle up later, which adds to the relaxed vibe. There's no on-site restaurant for other meals, but that's not really an issue. ROOM: We stayed in Room 9, so this review is based on that. It featured a small terrace with direct ocean views – I could see the sea from the bed and even from the shower. The room was spacious and lavishly furnished with that distinctive African aesthetic that somehow avoids feeling overdone. All the expected amenities were there: flat-screen TV with DStv bouquet, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a proper en-suite bathroom. It even came with a mini kitchenette with microwaves and fridges, which could be handy for longer stays. FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site. Pure Ocean chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Lovely guest house that is situated quite literally on the beach. Direct access via a locked gate. Beautifully decorated room with a bit of a sea view. Lounge area was spacious with stunning views. Great to just relax or do a bit of work. Don’t miss the sunrise with a distant view of the wind turbines. They also have a self-service ‘honesty’ bar in the evening. Close to restaurants.
